Release of Liability and Waiver
Students cannot participate on courses prior to signing the release of liability and waiver.
Students are required to complete a release of liability and waiver at the start of each course. A link to these documents

Prior Learning Assessment
The Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is a process that allows individuals to gain recognition for their prior learning. The learning may be formal, informal, or experiential. The PLA process provides a template for determining whether an applicant
has the training and experience necessary to:
a) Waive a CAA course prerequiste; or
b) Earn a CAA course certificate through equivalency

CAA Student Policies
For greater predictability, the CAA has several policies to help students, instructors, and staff navigate a variety of situations. Policies are offered below for student convenience.
Retest Fee Schedule
The following are the 2024-25 retest fees:

Operations Level 3: Written | $320 |

Hut Cancellation Insurance
The CAA recommends that students purchase cancellation/trip interruption insurance for courses that involve hut-based accommodation.
