Meet the Candidates - CAA 2021 Board of Director Elections
As part of the AGM on May 6, 2021, CAA voting members will cast ballots to elect seven of the nine positions on the Board of Directors. These include:
- Five regular positions (of these, at least four must be professional members; one may be an active member)
- Two public representatives

CPD Sessions
This year there will be something for everyone, with multiple workshop-style offerings. There will be limited capacity so please register early to save your spot. For more information check out our CPD Information page.
Keynote Speaker Barry Blanchard - Avalanches and the Alpinist
Canadian alpinist and mountain guide Barry Blanchard shares stories of avalanche involvements and observations from three decades of chasing alpine routes around the world. Open to members only. For more information check out our Keynote Speaker page.
Spring Conference Pricing
Member pricing:
Case studies and research presentations—free
Annual general meeting—free
Continual professional development workshops—$0 to $35 depending on workshop (Cancellation prior to seven days ahead of the start of a CPD event provides a refund, less an administrative fee of $5.00 and the credit card fees charged. There will be no refunds for any cancellations within seven days of the start of a CPD event or for "no shows" at the sessions.)
Non-member pricing (registration opens April 8):
Case studies and research presentations— non refundable $40 (early bird pricing ends April 23) or $50 (regular)
All other sessions are not open to non-members.
