Meteorology and its impact on the snowpack constitute a major ingredient in avalanche awareness as well as outdoor safety. At the same time, most outdoor enthusiasts and young professionals have limited confidence in their weather assessment skills. This is mostly due to a lack of knowledge and tools. For this reason, the CAA has developed the Introduction to Weather and Advanced Weather courses aimed at providing a foundation for understanding weather concepts and terminology followed by the application of weather forecasting tools and resources to help you predict snow and avalanche conditions.
