I have potentially filled a previously advertised role, however am still very interested in speaking with eager AST instructors as back-ups in case it falls through.

In Hakuba, Japan. January-March. Part-time work within a family household and operational setting. We are looking for someone who will fit into and contribute to our one-for-all household operational atmosphere and its daily demands. It is more than just a turn-up-for-work kind of job. 

Requirements: 
 
+CAA Professional Member. 
or
+CAA Active Member (must be under 30 years old to qualify for working holiday visa, and already have taught numerous AST1 courses and have great references)
 
and...

+ Track record of AST education delivered with skill and professionalism which consistently generates very positive customer feedback. This is important.
+ Broad-minded, mature, intelligent, articulate and friendly character traits and teaching style. Plus other specific soft-skills appropriate to a small family business and operational environment. 
+ Agree to happily teach the AST1 curriculum as per the instructor's manual. 
+ Agree to manage ongoing course admin and logistics. The job's commitments stretch beyond simply delivering the courses. Running AST courses in Hakuba comes with some logistical hurdles.
+ Current WFR training.

Compensation:
+ 55,000 yen per AST1 course*
+ 25,000 yen per CRS and MAT course*
+ Small private accommodation with room for your friendly and helpful partner if required. Internet, utilities etc included.
+ Local mountain rescue insurance, local cell phone, access to a car.

* Frequency to be discussed with applicants. Expect regular work and lots of freetime for powder skiing.

I always operate in compliance with rules. That means acquiring working visas where necessary, and finding supervision for any ASG applicants. When applying, please understand that these are genuine obstacles not easily resolved. I am open to entrepreneurial but water-tight and ethical solutions.
