The online iteration of Introduction to Weather takes place over eight weeks between October and November: weekly modules are self-directed with one weekly synchronous meeting on Zoom with an ITP weather instructor. The materials for each topic are made available on a weekly basis, and we recommend that students commit 4-6 hours per week to course work, in addition to the scheduled Zoom sessions. Attendance at a minimum of five of eight zoom sessions is required. All zoom sessions are recorded and made available to students who are unable to attend a particular session. Your Zoom sessions are scheduled for Wednesdays from 1900-2000 PT. Recordings of these synchronous sessions are posted afterwards. Final assessments are due on November 25, 2026; late submissions will not be accepted.

You can find information about this course on the Introduction to Weather course webpage.

Should you have any further questions, please email ITP Student Services studentservices@avalancheassociation.ca
