The CAA's vision is that the Canadian public has the highest degree of confidence in the avalanche safety programs and services delivered by its members. We strive to ensure that our diverse membership of avalanche practitioners meet the highest standards and adhere to best practices. We protect the public interest by ensuring members adhere to the CAA's Code of Ethics.

 

 

 

Discipline and Enforcement

The association enforces standards of conduct

and investigates when a member has fallen below

those standards.

  

 

 

      

Complaints Against Members            

The association investigates complaints against

members for failure to meet their professional

and ethical obligations.

  

 

 

Professional Development

Practise standards for avalanche work change,

and CAA Active and Professional members are

required to actively participate in continuing

education to remain competent and current

throughout their careers in their chosen fields

of practise.

 

 

 

 

InfoEx

The CAA's InfoEx is a daily exchange of technical

snow, weather, avalanche and terrain information

between subscribers. InfoEx is a key source of

data used by Avalanche Canada to produce

public avalanche bulletins.
