The Membership Committee are responsible for processing membership applications. They are assisted by Membership Services staff. Questions relating to application processing should be directed to Membership Services staff.
The CAA bylaws, this website and the application forms outline requirements for membership. Processing times for applications depend on a number of factors including the availability of the Membership Committee members who are active avalanche professionals with associated work commitments. The Committee aims to process applications within two weeks, however applications where referees or applicants need to be contacted for supplementary information often take longer.
